2 hours 42 minutes - I bought this book in 2021, when I first started properly realising I wasn't cis. It seemed symbolic of something, buying this book, so I decided I wouldn't read it until I had fully accepted my identity. Recently, I got to the point that I wasn't going to fully figure myself out any time soon, and that was okay, so I picked up this book. I wasn't expecting it, but this book was perfect for that. Felix doesn't have it all sorted out either, and that becomes part of his storyline.
I loved the characters in this book - all of them felt so real and three dimensional and loveable. The two love interests had so much chemistry with Felix, so much so I was physically reacting to it, smiling or having to put the book down for a moment. And the whole story just filled me with so much emotion. By the end of the book I was full on sobbing, and I don't think a book has ever made me do that before. This book is just so so good that I can hardly put it into words. I know that it will mean a lot to me for years into the future.

This one had me fully bawling at two separate moments. Despite working within its genre's conventions, there is still plenty of deeper themes running through that will tug at even the most jaded queer's heartstrings.

absolutely loved this novel!!!! From the characters, to the story line, just everything! While reading the book it was like I could feel what Felix was feeling while trying to discover himself and love out. This book explored identity, sexuality, and race but also was filled with just messy teenage drama which made it even better to read! I would definitely recommend this book, especially for trans and queer folks, but it’s an overall good read for anyone!

Very underwhelmed and I don't want to read about teenagers anymore.
