More like 3.5 stars but since gr doesn't do half stars it gets a 4

3.5 stars. At times I felt like I was reading several different books at once. Jake/George is likable but in the end what happened? Nothing really. I wanted to love it, which could have been accomplished in maybe 400 pages or less. The extra fluff and filler was too much for me. Still, King creates an interesting concept and approves time travel in his very own way. It was marginally better than I had anticipated. (Still not happy with any of Sadies endings though).

I'm pausing this to read higher priority books on my list. I may return to it later though honestly, I have no idea when! I'm sure it is a great book, but the beginning didn't grip me enough to continue.

I listened to this audiobook and felt the narrator was a perfect Jake! Jake goes back in time to change the assassination of JFK but first he takes a detour. He goes back to test how time travel changes the future, he finds friendship and love. The historical details were so interesting and I enjoyed the time travel butterfly effects in the novel. It is a slower paced novel but worth the read!
