Is it possible, you might ask, to love Clay Nichols more than we already did after seeing him in all of his glorious hotness in 'First Night' and 'Night After Night'? Oh my goodness, yes, yes, and YES again! Not only is it possible, but I challenge anyone to resist this man now.

When Clay left Julia Bell in San Francisco after she refused to open up to him about certain things going on in her life, he was determined to leave her behind for good. Having been burned in the past, Clay has zero tolerance for anything less than full disclosure. He heads back to New York, ready to resume his life without Julia. But love has a funny way of changing things, and neither Julia nor Clay is able to go back to 'LBL' (life before love), so Julia finally decides to risk everything and let Clay in. Is it all beautiful sunsets and happy times for them after this, though? No, because, what fun would that be? There are, of course, a few obstacles to overcome, but that's what makes happy times that much more so, and the making up that much hotter. As an added bonus, we get to see Blakely characters that we know and love from other books, which made this story that much more enjoyable.

Lauren Blakely consistently writes characters and stories that draw you in and make you a part of the world she has created. She is definitely one of my go-to authors, and has really outdone herself with 'After This Night.' I cannot recommend this book, along with the rest of the 'Seductive Nights' series more. Grab this one now; you won't be sorry.

I enjoyed this book more than expected. In this one, we get to see the end of Julia and Clay's story. While the previous books were full of sex and lacked of actual story, this one shows the same chemistry and hot moments between the characters, but with a whole new level of emotion.

What I liked the most was the way they built their relationship and feelings. Slowly, at the right pace, and that felt very realistic to me.

There were some things I didn't like that much, but after all, it was a light, entertaining read with a lot of sex and no much drama. Perfect to enjoy in between more intense and longer books.

I have no idea why I waited so long to dive into book 2 but let's just go with my weirdness guys.

After This Night was a fun book to listen to. I think the characters were just what I needed after a sad little book. Julia and Clay, the main characters, had some great chemistry. They definitely put a little smile on my face - which may or may not have freaked out my co-workers.

Of course, this book did deliver some drama because what book wouldn't if it was written by LB? Julia has a pretty big secret and I was wondering what was going to happen once Clay found out about it. Would he flip some tables and get mad? Or I don't know what else men do when it comes to this situation.. maybe be a little butt hurt? Who knows.

Well, spoiler alert, he doesn't go all hulk like on her. Nope, he does the complete opposite - he helps and comes to her rescue. Which just brings to light on how cute their relationship was to begin with. They really liked each other and were going to do no matter what to be in each other's lives.

Overall, I liked it so much that I might even dive into the next book later today.

How do I put into words the love I feel for this book? I can't even begin to tell you all of the ways in which I love Clay and Julia and how sad I am that their story is finished. Is it possible to get you to understand how much I Flove Lauren Blakely? This is where I brag that I got to beta read on this one, right? Because I totally did and I'm so grateful to Lauren for trusting me with that honor. Of course there wasn't much for me to do because the book was basically perfection right from the get go.
Clay continued to melt my panties with his alpha-ness but this time around you really get to see him wear his heart on his sleeve. His protective and loving side really shined here. He is so kick ass when defending Julia's honor and well-being.
Much like in the the first book and the prequel, Julia impressed me with her maturity and confidence. Julia is the epitome of a sexually assured, strong woman and I wish that I could read more women just like her in other romances.
I love that Julia and Clay handled their problems in such a mature and thoughtful manner. There is no tantrums, fits or over-reacting with these two. It's why they work so well together. I wish that we could read about them forever and ever. Like I've said before, I'm sure we will get glimpses of them in future Blakely works so I can take comfort in that.
This book was a perfect blend of romance, angst, sex and suspense, sending my emotions into overdrive. I highly recommend this to everyone that loves a well-written romance with a healthy dose of hot, hot lovin'.
