The Goodwin family is complicated, and those complications only grow when Dianna is found dead

Lucy Goodwin dreamed of having a loving mother in law, instead she got Dianna

Dianna is nothing if not practical and wants her children to understand not everyone is a privileged as she is

Ollie and Nettie are Diannas devoted children but cannot understand why she won’t help them when money is tight

This “whodunit” explores the complicated relationships of a well off family and what money can truly drive people to do

The exploration of Dianna throughout the book builds a strong and complicated character who’s only desire is to do the right thing by her family

Nothing at all to dislike, an easy 5 stars

I really liked this book. It’s not at all like I thought it would be. It’s about love, acceptance, courage, compassion, and ambition from literally all angles.

I found myself disappointed in how quickly the book ended. I feel like I waited and waited for the twist and then it finally came and the book was over with little to no closure. I did really enjoy this one though

Omg I loved this one soooo much!  Favorite parts:
complex and difficult relationships
Dual points of view snd going back and forth between past and present
Little clues sprinkled in but kept you guessing. I did not predict the ending ar all
Wonderful , deep takes on complexities of relationships as well as mental health

Seriously this is soooo good and I recommend everyone to read this!
