A high 4.

I liked the multiple POV’s and I’m excited to see where this story goes.

This had a small bit of middle book syndrome, but there was some repetition of language, information and other things that brought it down.

I do think this series is still underrated so more people need to read it.

Some of the parts of this book were absolute perfection and some parts made me cringe all the way to my core. I am so conflicted over this political love triangle where both options are good. However I cringed so hard at the endless amount of kiss me so I can protect your magic moments. This series strongest aspect is all the political scheming, character developments, and overlapping plot lines. I am genuinely so excited to get more than just the one POV. Hopefully Laurie Forest delivers on the execution of the final battle. There has been so much set up I need resolution.

I ADORE this series. See my review on book 1 for notes. However, it feels like going in circles. The further the series draws out the more frustrated I become, not with the author, but with the fact that it goes back and forth and circles the main confrontation without any resolution at all.
