The story and characters kept me on the edge of my seat.

What I Did Like:
-The opening chapters have a storyline following a woman who is abducted. I liked her chapters. I liked the way we were in there with her as she was scheming and plotting. I wanted more of her chapters and her story.

Who Should Read This One:
-Not sure I’m comfortable recommending it to anyone. If you really like thrillers with short, fast chapters I can give you better ones.
-If you’ve read this one and enjoyed it, comment below with your favorite reason why to help other readers find it.

My Rating: 1 Star. I was disappointed and uninvested.

Almost a 4. Wasn't a twisty as I find crime/thrillers usually are which was a bit disappointing, but I suppose twists do get a bit annoying if you read too many! Was kind of predictable, could guess who was behind the bombs in Last Chance. Surprising ending too though, you don't really get the resolution you usually would get!

Another easy reading book that ticks all the 'how to write a good thriller' boxes. The main protagonist is different to the norm and I would be happy to read more in the series.

loving this book... do i really need to sleep??What a great book! i am a big James Patterson fan and have recently discovered the books of Candice Fox. this book is so Australian... loved it!. Harriet Blue is sent to a small town of 75 people while her brother is on trial for murder. the people of the small town are just that.. small town so Harriet has to win them over. its fast paced and keeps you wanting more.

The second book in the Harriet Blue series was definitely as good as the first. With her brother’s case showing a lot of doubt, things get interesting. Most of the drama happens within the last 30 pages but my word it’s good. Can’t wait to read the next one!!

The sequel to Never Never, and I enjoyed this one more than the first. It’s darker and grittier.

Meh. Wish I could rate parts separately (as always). I liked the stories. I thought they were good and interesting and they kept my attention after half way through, when it started picking up more, the beginning was fine, just slower.

My issue is that I knew who BOTH killers were. Well, with the one, I knew that
Spoiler it was going to be someone from foster care that Sam knew but didn't remember
. Then with the other one, I knew the moment we met that character, if it was a surprise to anyone, ugh! Only the very ending surprised me, it was the only thing I didn't see coming, made sense tho.

I'll probably read more just because I'll forget how predictable these are, and if nothing else, they are good for quick reads for challenges, which is what it was for.

This will be the first (and hopefully the last) time I say this about a James Patterson book - I did not enjoy it. I do not like Harriet Blue, the story is not written nearly as well as other books I've read by James Patterson and overall the book was disappointing to me. I guess I'll stick with Alex Cross for now.
