Representation: Queer, trans, polyamory, various cultures
Rating: 4.75/5 A collection of smutty comics that stretch across history from the 1990s to far in the past. Stories are set in the roaring 20s, ancient Egypt, vaudeville era, and more! I really enjoyed the variety of stories, and how queer many of these are. There’s a variety of kinks represented, relationships between characters, and intensity of stories. The first story, Blessed by Baal, is so good and both of the main characters are gender divergent. This one is set in ancient Egypt and is very bold and colorful. I also really liked Conversion, a story set in the Nordic wilderness where a missionary is trying to spread his message and comes across one man living on his own. I also loved the roaring 20s one, it wasn’t very deep but it was a very cute and fun story about a polyamorous triad of actors. Anthologies are always tough, but I think I liked most of the stories in this, which is great! I’d also add this publisher mostly does straight up smut, so don’t expect too much depth in most of these stories.

The Smut Peddler erotic comic anthology series returns with a wonderful new installment focusing on tales set in the distant (and not-so-distant) past. This collection travels all over the world and far beyond the gender binary, not to mention the variety of sexy scenes, situations, positions, and pairings—or trios—to be found. Beautifully illustrated, lovingly told, this collection of stories makes a wonderful read when all you want is a first-rate naughty comic.
