The book was cute and I enjoyed the series but they all moved very fast and there was very little tension and angst. Felt very insta lovey

A swoony, fun, sweet and tingly marriage-of-convenience love story.
I like that these books aren’t super predictable (despite the necessary HEA) yet still stay comfy and cozy for those of us who need a brain escape.
Recommend!

Lexi meets Devlin and they have a one night stand. Then her grandmother is planning to sell the Inn and Devlin is the agent of the company brokering the sale. From that point on, Lexi and Devlin are trying to fight their attraction and at the same time, figure out a way for her family to keep the Inn. I loved this book. Especially Lexi. She was such a good person. And her grandmother was a delight. I'll definitely read more of this series.

DEVLIN. F*CKING. BUCKLEY.

I just can’t even with this man. I’m such a sucker for marriage of convenience stories and LOVE a good “my wife” scenario. Devlin Buckley has surpassed book boyfriend and made himself into BOOK HUSBAND material. Why must he be fictional??!

I loved this story, loved the real relationship develop between Devlin and Lexie. Nothing about it was fake. And the spice? Melanie girl, that sh*t was HOTT.

Love love love the entire Cherry Harbor series and can’t wait for Dash and Ari’s story next.

Melanie Harlow continues to be an auto buy author for my little homesick Michigan girl heart.

They met at a bar by chance and had an instant connection that led to a one night stand.

They met again a couple days later at a business meeting. She thought he scammed her and he had to go back to his company with his tail between his legs.

Turns out his company sucked and so he left them. Proposed a crazy idea to Lexi and fell head over heels for her in the process which didn’t shock him but solidly confused him for about two days lol

The “grand gesture” he did for
Her after they separated was so beautiful! And while grand in the scheme of things because of its significance to him it was simple, beautiful and heartfelt. You truly can’t ask for much better than that!!

This gem was narrated by Robert Hatchet and CJ Bloom! I love both of them so much!

They each have a unique sound and you can’t mistake them for someone else.

Roberts voice is soft and smooth but not too deep.

CJ has a “girly” voice.  It’s higher in tone and fits those younger character perfectly

Melanie Harlow just perfectly hits the spot between sweet and spicy. One second you're giggling and kicking your feet, the next it's "I'm not going to kill you, but say the word, and I'll do my best to make you see God."
