First time reading this. It did not age well.

I read this book because it was on a list of banned/ challenged books. I didn't see anything inherently wrong with it. It's a bit silly and talks about sex quite a bit, but please tell me which teen girl group doesn't mention it some?

i have to say, this was much more hilarious than i expected it to be, considering I'm 31 and the protagonist is 14. a nice lighthearted start to the new year of reading.

I'd probably give this book a lower rating if it weren't heavily steeped in nostalgia for me. The book remains quite funny and the audio narrator is fantastic, but it has aged quite poorly in many ways. Particulalry notable is the book's apparent disinterest in the concept of consent. I worshipped at the altar of Georgia Nicholson when I was twelve, but I'd say if you haven't already read it, don't seek it out.

I picked up this book because I was in the mood for something light-hearted and funny, and told in epistalory format. However, I found it really annoying, the humor often grated on me (and it wasn’t because it was British humor either!). I found Georgia to be rude and obnoxious and just not a great character. Honestly, I was kind of disappointed. 1.5/5 Stars.

I FINALLY watched the movie and, as anticipated, spiraled into an obsessive state in which “Ultraviolet” blared through my head at all times and I felt compelled to read the book. I will say, I do prefer the storyline of the movie more!! Call me crazy!!! BUT, I think we get to see more of Georgia’s personality here, naturally, and I really enjoyed that. Call me crazy AGAIN, but I love a slightly insufferable main character. I mean, she’s much more relatable and realistic and, because this is like a 14 year old girl, her problems aren’t that frustrating or confusing or downright bad - she merely acts on natural human emotion, and I enjoy that!!! I think I’ll even read the others - they’re very fun, and I genuinely was laughing out loud!!!!
Some annoyances: we don’t have any foundation for this relationship and like no banter; Robbie in the movie is an angel and I don’t think this Robbie is the same at all; and why on earth is he (a 17 year old) falling for Georgia (a 14 year old) ?!? I mean, that’s a bit odd. I think that will be tackled in the next book (though it was slightly mentioned here). We shall see...
