I'm not going to put myself through this anymore. It's only getting worse and the writing style is really annoying. I don't like Nell, I don't like Colton. I think Kyle might be the most likeable and even he wasn't very good.

I don't understand how this is so hyped up. Maybe I'm just too old for these ridicilous storylines. A politicians son, who is from a gang and talks like a 15 year old wannabe rapper? *massive eye roll* and we're all supposed to fall for that? I'll pass.

“We understand each other, Nelly. We’ve both lost someone we love. We both have scars and regrets and anger. We can do this together.”

“I’m not just falling in love with you, Nell. I’m falling into you. You’re an ocean, and I’m falling in, drowning in the depths of who you are. Like you said, it’s scary in a way, but it’s also the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced. You are the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.”

It’s safe to say Falling Into You began my book obsession with Jasinda Wilder. The cover and short blurb on Goodreads instantly drew me to this book. I knew from the minute I started reading the book that it would wreck me. I just didn’t know to what extent.

Based on the blurb above, I assumed the book would begin after Kyle’s tragic accident. Boy, was I wrong. We were given the opportunity to watch Kyle and Nell’s relationship grow from friendship into love. It was the perfect high school romance: sweet and innocent love. They were a wonderful match. It all fell apart one stormy night after they had a fight. Kyle was killed in an accident, Nell was there and could do nothing to help him, and my heart broke for them both.

Enter Colton, Kyle’s older brother. He’s everything Kyle wasn’t. He’s everything Nell needs right then. Nell and Colton share the same self-destructive tendencies. They share a love of music. They share a passion that will help them get through their pasts. What originally began as a bond over grief at losing Kyle, quickly grew into something far different. Their relationship was not an innocent high school romance. It was intense, more mature, and centered around want and need. It was a different kind of love and it was incredible to read about it.

The characters in this book are really what drives the story. Jasinda writes characters you can’t help but feel passionate about. I loved Nell right from the start. Sure, she had issues, but she never fully broke. It would have been so easy to portray her as someone who needed a man to put her back together. That wasn’t the case. He was her protector when she needed it, but more than that, Colton helped Nell let go. He didn’t fix her. He pushed her out of her comfort zone, personally, sexually and otherwise. (And, OMG, the sexy scenes were really hot. Hawt, even.) He helped her recognize it was ok to not be “old Nell” anymore. The dynamic between them was so very passionate. It was powerful. They had both been through so much in their lives. Reading about them fighting their past and their demons together really made the book for me.

It’s hard to really put into words all this book made me feel. It was so very intense. It grabbed me, shook me a few times and made me feel all the feelings along the way. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone who enjoys New Adult lit. The sequel, [b:Falling Into Us|17700010|Falling Into Us (Falling, #2)|Jasinda Wilder|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1369400872s/17700010.jpg|24744004], was just as incredible – if not more so. But that’s a review for another day. :)

Falling Into You is the perfect book if you are in between reads. It has the perfect amount of angst, push and pull and just enough steam. I did enjoy this story. It’s a journey about two broken people who find comfort in each other despite what happens to them.

This story has been done before but there was something about the characters that drew me in and kept me reading. I think it had a lot to do with Kyle and Nell. I absolutely loved those two together and who doesn’t love best friends that fall in love? Kyle and Nell are a huge part of why I enjoyed this book so much!!! I will say that there were parts to this book that felt rushed, especially when it came to Kyle.

Moving onto Colton…oh my goodness!!! I absolutely loved him but I’m not sure why didn’t learn more about him from the beginning. There was never a mention of him before which made me turn back a few pages to see if I had missed something but I didn’t. He simply wasn’t mentioned. I guess that’s not a big deal but it left a hole in the story. Colton definitely had depth and I enjoyed this character immensely but again, I felt the issues he had were rushed and told vs. letting me feel them. Also, he’s the son of a politician and yet he’s on the streets, all gansta and whatnot…that simply didn’t ring true to me.

I feel as though I am picking this book apart and that’s not my intention and it’s making me feel like my review is all over the place and choppy, which most likely it is. This is what you need to know, it’s an entertaining read. If you are waiting for other books to be released this will satisfy the feeling of…”what do I read next” syndrome. It’s a highly popular book and who knows, maybe it will be your next favorite book!

I read this book in a day and really, really enjoyed it. I still have a hit of a hard time w the sex scenes and high school kids... Other than that I loved it!

I LOVED the set up of this book, the premise. The execution, however, just didn't live up to expectations. The characters were forever TELLING us what was going on, even before it happened. For instance ... I knew this girl was going to break me because she is broken, but I'm going to do it anyway! three seconds after they met (again).

Not bad enough for me to flounce, but it was an awkward read.

So I read Falling for Colton a long time ago. I'm still not sure why Colton had to go through everything he went through, but having read this one now, I can see that it would have been insight into Colton's world before Nell. Nell, who had her own tragic thing going on. I totally get why she wouldn't accept Kyle's proposal, but what happened next was so sad. And everything Nell put herself through after that was a pretty extreme response to Kyle's death, but I guess I can't really judge. I've never been through something like that. Eventually, it accidentally brought her to Colton, who was Kyle's older brother. There was instant chemistry, even if they both tried to ignore it. It was just a matter of time. They might not have experienced the same things, but they had the same sort of self-hatred. Colton had kind of worked through his, so he was able to identify Nell's and help her work through it. I thought they were a great couple once they let it be what it was.

It's a very bad book i didn't even finish it, the idea of it was exciting and made me want to read it, but from the very first pages i realized that it's a hopeless case. It's really boring, in intense need of serious editing, the main character are not realistic, or anything about this book is. Do your self a favour and never read this it. Books like this one make me wish we can give zero star as a rating.
