Super fun! I actually never heard of the podcast but I still found this to be accessible and easy to follow! Loved the characters especially Mitch and the art is amazing!

A bunch of the more obvious (hackneyed?) observations about modern life piled on top of a vague plot that is almost always resolved with deus ex machina interventions.
It was enjoyable. But there's not much here.

Really good and I liked it a lot!
It's very funny. I laughed out loud twice, drawing some sour looks, while reading and was smiling throughout. It pokes fun at hipsters, slackers, book club ladies (I love those zombie moms), the gig economy, dating apps, and corporate greed while telling a story that keeps one's attention.
The art is above average and the dialogue is snappy and clever throughout.
I could only find one complaint and this that this is set on an alien planet sometime in the future. That doesn't really become clear until well into book and I was confused as to whether this was a future earth with invading aliens/homegrown mutants or another planet entirely. That doesn't hurt the story much and I think it's one of the best graphic novels I've read this year.

Man, I wanted to end the year on a better note. I didn't realize this was "based on the smash-hit podcast," which I have never heard of. But that now explains why it felt like it was full of inside jokes I didn't get, and the characters were all kind of hipster-esque. The art was good and I appreciated the monsters, though. Also, I didn't put it down halfway through, so I guess I'll give it another star.
