I love this series because it takes me back to the early 90s, when friends would just drop by without calling, information about everything wasn’t in our pocket all the time, and fax machines were pretty darned modern. This installment had some great detective work, and the case moved along nicely until about 75%. The resolution was confusing and the motives weren’t clear. It was still an enjoyable reading experience, but far from Grafton’s best.

Another good one

Always entertaining and a good read. Now on to the next adventure - wondering what it will take us next.

I'm not sure how I feel about the feeling of nonclosure in this book. On the one hand, it's nice that these books don't feel formulaic; on the other hand, I like mysteries because they generally provide a nice clear, clean plot at the end.
