I absolutely adored this book! The chemistry between Meredith and Witt is incredible, their banter and collaborations are just a blast. And the family's worldbuilding and history was so well developed, each family member was their own individual with distinguishable personalities- a feat that is not simple considering the large number of family members. Having the assassin game woven throughout the week's wedding and family festivities was immense fun; I especially lived for the strategizing and general tomfoolery that took place. However, the book has serious undertones as well as we dive into Meredith's grieving not just her long term relationship ending abruptly, but the untimely and tragic loss of her sister and best friend. So heartbreaking and executed so perfectly. I cannot recommend this book enough!!

5/5 !!! (bonus stars for the sheer amount of Taylor Swift references that were expertely placed like little easter eggs from the queen herself!!)

This was such a cute and fun YA summer romance! I really enjoyed the FMC and MMC. The storyline was so fun. Light-hearted with good writing. I feel like this is underrated!

So I saw a tiktok that said “if you’re a swiftie you should read this book” so I obviously did. It was very YA and nothing profound but it was so cute and the perfect easy summer book I needed as a break from all the high fantasy I’ve been reading. I read like 80% of this in one sitting. I loved the banter and chemistry between the two main characters it actually made me feel like a giddy teenager. And I loved that it wasn’t JUST a silly romance but had some depth to it with the main character navigating her grief of losing her sister. Plus the whole story taking place during a game of Assassin was super fun!

What a cute book! The first half was so charming, and I think I had a smile the whole time while reading; The second half definitely taps more into the YA vibe. Regardless though, this was such a sweet fun book. I want to join this family for a summer at Martha’s Vineyard playing Assassin, enjoying pool days & delicious pies. Perfect summer read!
