This is everything a good novella should be - short but well thought out and completely engaging. I didn't want to put it down. Since it's so short, I feel like the less that is said, the better. Just give it a go!

I'll leave this unrated because I'm very conflicted. It really does get it's point across though.

It's a common comparison for dystopian sci-fi these days. but The Test really is like a Black Mirror episode in novella format.
Idir, an Iranian refugee and devoted father and husband, is sitting his citizenship test. Twenty-five questions that will determine his future, and the future of his family. But while he's taking his test, the unthinkable happens. What should have been a straightforward exam suddenly becomes dangerous and deadly.
Full of commentary on race, migration, terrorism, morality and human behaviour, this is a short, sharp and tense story that's best read in one sitting.
