I liked this book. It was definitely a slower read than some of the other books she has written but not bad. Always left with a cliffhanger!

Le sigh. Bad decision after bad decision leading to a disappointing ending.

I mostly enjoyed the book but it didn’t keep my attention until halfway through and then to leave it on a cliffhanger is so stupid!

This is like a 4.25 star rating. The ending was phenomenal and I love who it was. I genuinely cannot believe the author started out as merely a Wattpad writer to now this. Such improvement. Will definitely need to read some of her other books!

Why the cliffhanger! I did get irritated at the main character a lot but had to remember they were in HS. Not what I was expecting, but I didn't want to stop reading it. I did want to see it through.

I really enjoyed it up until the ending which left me unsatisfied and almost angry. Immediately ran to google where I found a Reddit thread of people who finished the book and felt the same way. Apparently she ends everything on a cliff hanger which is disappointing because she’s a great writer but this will be the first and last thing I read from her because of that.

Penny is trying to move on after her then boyfriend Nash’s father murdered several kids in her hometown and was arrested. Everyone has shunned Nash and his sister Grace since then including Penny’s friend group. A year later, with Halloween near, Penny discovers a dead body when shopping for a Halloween costume. Nash’s dad couldn’t possibly be responsible, so who could it be? Is there a possible copycat on the loose, and if so who is it?

I wanted a spooky read for Halloween time and this book had me hooked! I enjoyed the plot of the story and had no idea who the killer was. The twist at the end was jaw dropping! The only thing that prevented me from giving it five stars was how abrupt and cliffhanging the ending was! If you like to interpret books that have an unfinished ending then you might not mind it, but I for one was shocked that it had a faux ending because I wanted closure. Lol.
