Second chance romance within a marriage is one of my favourite tropes.
Add in childhood friends to lovers

This was an emotional second chance romance. Nate and Amelia were always destined to be together. Reading the flashback chapters shows you how they’ve been soulmates since childhood. Even those around them could see that they had a connection.

There are twists and turns (and plenty of miscommunication) that lead to this couple’s split the first time. They come back together having grown and changed, but they still need to learn the meaning of communication and compromise.

Perfect romance read for Hallmark movie lovers and lovers of:
⛵️Brother’s best friend
⛵️First love
⛵️HEA
⛵️Hot, tattooed musician MMC
⛵️Small town romance
⛵️Childhood best friends to lovers to exes to lovers

I loved this book until the end. The multiple time of miscommunication started to get a bit much. Amelia and Nate were better communicators when they were young. The biggest off put was when Amelia said she needed space while Nate was trying to fight for her and the next page she states she is waiting for Nate to decide to fight for her….like what!?

Wow!!!!
I went into this book completely blind and I’m so glad I did. It was amazing! Brothers best friend is my Favorite trope but it also has second chance and other amazing tropes as well!!! Best of all worlds !

It was a feel good read. Not very spicy at all but that’s ok with me because the story line and plot were amazing!!!!

I can’t wait to read more books from Brittanee !
If you haven’t read this yet get on it cause it is super cute rom-com feels and so worth it !!!! ❤️❤️

Where to even start. If this review seems unhinged, it’s because this book sent me straight to crazy town.

For starters, the title is too long. Second, Amelia is a nutto and I can’t stand her. Third, THIS ENTIRE BOOK IS JUST ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!!!!!!!!! FROM EVERYONE!!!!!! NO ONE COMMUNICATES!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure there were sweet moments, and at certain points I thought this would be a 4 star read for me. But alllllllll of the good stuff is overshadowed by the absolute terrible communication. These people are 30 years old???????? SIS WHAT?!?

And my last thing, this book is just like everywhere. He’s rich somehow? And Amelia knows, but only kinda? She’s a florist? An artist? A closet musician who teaches herself to play the guitar in a few nights and writes bangers that the entire world falls in love with instantly and the record label only wants her??????? And let us not forget, she is quirky!!!! She has white blonde hair! It’s everywhere!!!!! All the time!!!!! SHE LOVES CHOCOLATE!!!!!! REALLY LOVES CHOCOLATE TEE HER! Don’t call this wild gal baby, she’s way too cool for that!!!! Dressing up? Makeup???? Not our Ames!!! She is a jean short and t shirt kinda gal only!!!! She’s tiny! But her legs are 89 miles long!!!! HUGE BOOBS!!!! GUYS CANT STOP STARING!!!! She’s not a crier (she cries 100 times)!!!!!!!!!

So yeah anyway. Don’t recommend.

I absolutely devoured this story and it is another fantastic couple brought to us by Brittanee Nicole. I have loved every single one of her books, but this one is at the top of the list for my favorite couple. Nate and Amelia grew up together, were high school sweethearts, and the way their history is interwoven in this story is very well done. The history and present flows in such a way that it not only made you love the individuals more with each passing page, but love the couple more as well. It also was done in a way that left me in suspense to find out what could have possibly occurred that would have driven the beautiful couple apart in the first place. This book is full of the joys of first love, the heartbreak, and the beauty in the strength that is found within a second chance love.

I love a good second chance romance. Nate and Amelia are childhood sweethearts torn apart by trauma and tragedy. To read how Nate continues to care for her from afar just pulled at my heartstrings. Brittanee has such an amazing writing style and I absolutely love this series. Highly recommended!

I do not like miscommunication. this book could have been cut in half if they just communicate better with each other back when they were kids and as adults it like they learnt nothing. And even after saying they needed to communicate they still didn't, they were so dramatic.

However, after that moan. i did like the story, i loved the second chance, childhood lovers story line. the flashback moments were adorable. the flower shop and him working with music really did make me think of forever my girl vibes

The story
Nate is the Amelia’s brother Jack’s best friend. Amelia has been trailing after Nate since she was a young girl, and although Jack and their friend Peter tried to get rid of her, Nate never did. With a four year age gap, it wasn’t easy but as teenagers, Nate realised that Amelia was the only person for him. But life hasn’t been plain sailing and when things got rough, their relationship fell apart. Nate is back in town and Amelia wants nothing to do with him. Will he be able to win her over?

My thoughts
This is the third book in this series set in a Rhode Island town on the water. It’s a complex story with twists and turns and much miscommunication. But eventually the strong feelings and sense of being soulmates that both Nate and Amelia have for each other allow them to work through the misunderstandings. There is a lot of sadness and difficult topics covered in this story. This felt less of a fun romcom than the first two books did, with a more serious slant. An enjoyable read
