I really liked this! Sweet, slightly morbid book. I’ve enjoyed 2/2 of his books

If anyone can make a book about death cheerful and heartwarming, it's Klune. He creates a pitstop of a teashop where people get to contemplate their past and their future in the afterlife, as well as realize what's really important - their connections to other people.
While Wallace's transformation might have been a little sudden for some reader's tastes, it's hard to say how much that final journey changes you, or finding work you find truly rewarding. Klune's characters are the meat of his story and so delightful and enjoyable, but I'd be shocked if his strong imagery wasn't creating fan art to pop up all over the world. Worth reading - worth owning - worth buying extra copies to give as gifts.

I am in love! With TJ Klune! His writing and ability to create such beautiful, vivid and loveable characters as well as take me far out of my comfort genre has made him my favourite author at the moment! In fact he would be my author of the year! I say this because I loved the house in the cerulean sea just as much!
The book itself allows the awkward topics in life to evolve into beautiful episodes that, if viewed through the eyes of characters such as Wallace and Hugo and Apollo can be lived through. There can be some solace in the loss of loved ones if we can keep loving them.
