Loved the beginning. But Riley is starting to grate on me. "Reckless" is not a full personality. And Harper has said twice now that Riley is just joy personified, but I'm not seeing it at all. He doesn't seem joyous at all. Just childish.

Started this book without knowing what was about, and completely feel in love with the characters. There is not a lot of books with disability people, and being able to read something as beautiful as this love story, really gives some hope to reality.

Such a sweet, smooshy story with a little soul crushing in between. Harper and Riley are just too perfect for each other

This was heavy, but well done. I loved the characters and thought the pace of the romance was about right given the circumstances. It just wasn't very much fun to read though.
Graphic: Ableism, Blood, Injury/Injury detail, Domestic abuse, Physical abuse, Violence, and Stalking
Moderate: Death of parent and Rape

I found this today on my WTR and I can’t for the life of me remember how it ended up there, I gave it a blind chance and I do not regret it one bit! Beautifully emotional without being overwhelmingly angsty. I LOVED THIS ONE SO MUCH 10/5 STARS!!! ⭐️

Riley is everything I love in a character.
He open, goofy and he loves big. There is never truly any doubt about his feelings because he doesn't play games.
“You taught me how to see. I honestly don’t know why God gave me eyes before you came along, because I didn’t use them for a damn thing until I saw you.”
This is probably going to end being one of my Top books of 2023 which also means my rating will probably change on it the longer I ruminate on it. This was a beautiful story about 2 broken souls that find each other when they least expect it. Their friendship was beautiful to watch develop and their love and acceptance of each other was on a whole other level.
