I have been waiting on this sequel for months and it was worth the wait! There quite a bit of twists and turns that made it hard for me to put the book away. First of all, Tessa & Eric's relationship is beautiful, in a way that seems rich and real. Both characters are dealing with anxiety and depression issues that so many people are also facing. The title also shows how social media and pop culture can play into those mental health issues. Mystery aside, this title is very timely as we live in a celebrity and social media obsessed world. I was able to related to both characters in this regard. The mystery of the story was awesome. There were some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting and made it very hard to stop reading. I actually read this title in a few hours! My only disappointment in this title is that the Blair situation is kind of left in the air. From my understanding, this series is only slated to be duology, so that open-endedness kind of bugs me. I understand that not every story gets wrapped up in a tiny bow at the end of the book, but I was hoping for more Blair in this book. His back story is incomplete and it leaves a few questions unanswered. Questions like 'why did he target Tessa?', Was 'Tessa his first victim?". 'What made him become a stalker?". It would be great if we can get a prequel with Blair's backstory to tie up those loose ends. Nonetheless, I enjoyed both Follow Me Back and Tell Me No Lies, so I'm interested in what Geiger will write next.

Some parts of this book got too real for me. As a former fangirl, and now a women in society that watches tok much true crime (AKA terrified of being stalked, kidnapped, murdered, left for dead, interviewed by the police and not being believed LOL) this got TOO real. But too real in such a good way! I almost wish there was a third book in this series, I don’t want to let go of these characters yet!

I love this book and how it tackles anxiety and paranoia . I love how through everything they always take care of each other and understand each other so much when they are from completely different worlds. Very good book! I hope this isn't the end of the series!

This is everything I hoped and dreamed for a sequel - and then some! There was a part or two I was hesitant about, but Damn... Geiger pulls it off. Review to come..

I‰ЫЄm so excited!!! Got approved to read this on netgalley!! Can‰ЫЄt download it right now because of whatever update the site is doing but gah!! Can‰ЫЄt wait

The first book would have been a perfect standalone! I‰ЫЄm sorry, I nervous for this one... It could be great or it could be another Pretty Little Liars series....

While this book did keep me up to figure out "who done it" I did find somethings a little eyeroll worthy. In this book vs the first Tessa seemed a little more whiney and helpless. But maybe that was just due to my state of mind while reading? I'm not sure. I did really enjoy it though. I did not see the ending coming AT ALL which is always good! I hope there is third in the series! I do enjoy the format of having social media, police reports, and traditional prose to tell the story. A.V. Geiger is a fantastic storyteller!

Thank you to Netgally and Sourcebooks for providing an ARC for me to review.

Honestly, I checked out midway, it had already begun straying from the original plot about fandom obsession, the dangers of social media and then it spun off into an entirely unnecessary trope and a quite tired cliche of a villain. Just entirely too much going on, I ended up skimming and reading the investigation transcripts to find out what was going on. I should have stuck with the first book only and the cliffhanger ending that remained unsolved.

After Follow Me Back, I was anxiously awaiting Tell Me No Lies. While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't as thrilling or as fulfilling as the first. It did answer the questions I had at the end of Follow Me Back, so that was a plus. However, a lot of what happened in Tell Me No Lies was laughably ridiculous. It definitely read like a teenage soap opera. That's not to say it was a terrible book, but it was full of lots of eye-rolling worthy moments. I likely would have enjoyed the story as a whole if it ended with Follow Me Back.

This novel hooked me in from the very first page. The plot was fast-moving and thrilling, elevated by the uniqueness of Tessa's and Eric's characters. The interrogations sections kept stretched out the suspense deliciously, keeping me on the edge. The end was completely baffling and unexpected. A very well-rounded book.
