Edition read: Dutch

Ok so look listen, does anything happen in this story? Absolutely not. But oh my word the illustrations are amazing! I love the grandma's, the auntie's, and one of the brides has the most amazing hair in the world and just I love this book for the art alone.

This book is pure queer joy! We get to see Julián and his cousin Marisol participate in the wedding of two beautiful Black brides and learn about gender expression in such a freeing way! The illustrations are as joyful as the text!
