Unless you're a fan of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda/Love, Simon and/or Leah on the Offbeat, there's really no point in reading Love, Creekwood because this is 100% fan service. But since I loved Lean on the Offbeat and enjoyed Simon well enough, I was happy to see these characters again.

Love, Creekwood is an epistolary novella told through a series of emails between the character and while the idea is cute and definitely harkens back to Simon vs..., it doesn't always work. It raises more questions than it does to answer questions, which is really annoying since I'm pretty sure this is the last time we'll get to see these characters and there was really no need to bring them back to do nothing with them.

Abby has all the best parts in this. And Leah still has my heart. The boys? Meh. They're okay, I guess. But Albertalli's ability to write teenagers still impresses me.

I loved this. Simply adorable.

I wouldn't recommend listening to the audiobook though. Not because the narrators did a bad job, they were good, but the group emails drove me crazy.

This entire book was like adorable Love, Simon fan-fiction. If you want something full of fluff and sugary-sweet romance that'll rot your teeth right out of your mouth, here it is. I devoured the book within a couple hours since it's less than 200 pages and written entirely in e-mails, but it boosted my spirits so much. I think I would have loved it even more if this were in novel form rather than novella/e-mail form, but I understand that the book came about spontaneously. But there were some holes within the e-mails when the characters were in person together and I feel like I missed out on the in-person interactions since the characters could only reflect on what had already happened. Still, these are small complaints for a book that is really fun and soothes the soul.

Spoilersuper quick read. the entire book is written through emails, so i didn’t expect it to be revolutionary. it was cute to get back into this universe and see these characters though! i may have enjoyed it a bit more when i was younger but pretty average.

THE NOVELLA I DIDN'T KNOW I NEEDED BUT I DID.
This is basically just a compilation of emails exchanged between the characters of the Simonverse and IT'S AMAZING AND I LOVED ITTTT. 10/10, highly recommend, made my afternoon! <3

Little annoying to follow the audiobook. Read this physically if possible. Otherwise an OK addition to the simonverse.
