This was my first Corrine Michaels book and it won't be my last. I loved the emotional roller coaster of Teagan and Derek coming together, learning their histories, their heartbreaks, and watching them rekindle their friendship. It was a beautiful story!

I really liked both Teagan and Derek. I enjoyed learning about their friendship, their feelings, and what they were going through. This is told from both the past and present and it was nice to get both of those perspectives. There's a lot of heartache and anger happening that they both had to deal with and I thought it was well written, pulling me in. I liked the build, the anticipation of them seeing each other, discovering what the other one felt, and how it grew. They were so sweet together and I loved seeing them reconnect and their amazing bond.

There's a lot of tension, mild drama, teenage attitude, and angst. There were just a lot of raw and real emotions and I felt it all. I was glad that mixed in with the emotion and drama, was Teagan’s fun, self-deprecating humor that helped to lightened things up. Even though there's a lot of emotional things happening, I felt it was a fast-paced, easy read. The conflict was resolved easily and I found a few things slightly predictable. The bottom line for me was, I couldn't put it down and I was completely invested. I needed these to be together, to work through those past hurts and come out on the other side.

I thought this was a really great story and was thrilled with the outcome. I need more Corinne Michaels in my life!

All I Ask took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I found myself not being able to put this book down. I was completely hooked on this story from the very first page.

Teagan and Derek were complete opposites who become the best of friends, that is until one day everything changed for the both of them. Now, thirteen years later they are back in the same town and not the same people they were when they last spoke, both of them single parents to teenage daughters. There were things left unsaid between them, pain and heartache. Will these two former best friends be able to mend their friendship and will the truth come out?

I loved Teagan. She is a strong woman and a great role model to her daughter. She hasn’t had it easy in her life. Her best friend left her, her baby daddy wanted nothing to do with her or their beautiful daughter, she works hard for minimum wage and protects her daughter from the horrible gossip of their small town. She does everything she can to make sure her daughter feels loved and feels like she has someone on her side no matter what. Derek’s life is completely different. He had a wife, a family, a great job. Everything he could have hoped in life minus his best friend. However, he moves back to his hometown to help his father and to have the support of his family.

There is so much chemistry between Teagan and Derek, even after all those years apart with zero contact. They still know so much about each other without a word being said. The only thing these two have in common anymore is their daughters, who just so happen to hate each other. However, they don’t let this deter them from moving forward with how they both feel. Everything about their relationship and their friendship felt real, nothing about this story felt fake or over romanticized for the sake of a good story.

All I Ask is a MUST READ and one of my TOP BOOKS of 2020. This is a story about a beautiful second chance with your first love.

This was like a bad teen romance novel but featuring adults. It's flits back and forth between the point of view of the main male and female character, past and present, but the majority of the dialogue and thoughts of the characters is "I'm so in love with this person, but they don't feel the same.it could never work out". Over and over again for the whole book with some minor background drama with their teenage daughters and exes.

It’s no surprise that Corinne Michaels brings that emotional punch she’s known for in her novels. She had me feeling all the feelings. Derek and Teagan’s story hooked me right in and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what happened between these two.

Teagan and Derek were best friends who are now estranged. Both have gone on to live their lives. Now they’re back in the same town, and each with a teenage daughter. Watching them try to repair their relationship and overcome some obstacles was hard at times. Their journey brings a lot of pain and heartache, but the road to their second chance is well worth it, I couldn’t help but root for them.

I loved Teagan and Chastity’s relationship. She always put her daughter first, even at her own hearts expense. I also loved how determined Derek was. He knows that Teagan is it and that they’re meant to be together and isn’t willing to give up no matter what. I loved the flashbacks we got of Teagan and Derek in high school and seeing the start of their friendship.

All I Ask is a friends to lovers, second chance, and single parent romance that brought all the feels. Teagan and Derek pulled at my heartstrings and had me desperately wanting and needing their HEA. I loved these characters and their emotional, heartfelt, and beautiful story.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book*

SpoilerProbably closer to 2.5 stars -- I could see how this book will be great for some people, but I just wanted a little bit more. It felt like there could have been so much more done with the single parents storyline (and the daughters fighting) but to me those facts were just there, rather than there to further the plot. This very well be an "it's not you, it's me" thing, because I want more than JUST the romance plotline from my romance novels! But the cover is gorgeous.

Thank you Forever Romance and netgalley for my ARC!

All I Ask is Corinne Michaels latest standalone novel and her first as a traditionally published author through Forever Romance. This story is an emotional best friends-to enemies-to lovers and second chance romance.

We're in Chincoteague Island, Virgina, a tiny coastal town with seasonal visitors and plenty of locals that get into everyones business. Teagan is a single mother to a thirteen-year-old girl and lives above her parents antique store that she also manages. Derek is a newly widowed father back in town to help his ailing father at his veterinary practice.

Teagan and Derek's relationship is volatile. They were high school best friends that always had feelings for each other but never let the other know about it. Teagan's relationship with her then boyfriend made Derek's decision to marry someone else the put the nail in their proverbial coffin.

"Tell me something real."

I enjoyed Derek's character very much. He's learning the ropes as a single father, and dealing with the death of his wife. While their relationship wasn't perfect, I felt that her character was villainized a bit too much. Teagan was very hit or miss for me. She was a woe-is-me type of character and that kind of grated on me. She plays the victim very well but they both made decisions that molded the thirteen years they were apart.

"I've waited a very long time for you, even when I didn't know what I was doing.

While this wasn't a supreme read for me, I did still enjoy it. Teagan and Derek's growth as characters separately, parents, and a couple was great to read. Corinne still remains a top auto-buy author for me but All I Ask didn't hit all the marks like her past stories.

   | Its been a while since I read Miss Michaels book. So when I get a copy of the audiobook of All I Ask, I am very excited. And this book does not disappoint me.

At first, I want to slap both Derek and Tiegen. Both of them are too scared to admot their own feeling. Hence the soap opera drama ensues. Then when Miss Michaels takes us to peel their reason one by one, I slowly fall in love with them. Yes I can relate to them too. Their insecure, their bad timing and their teenage hormone.

Life have funny wau brings them back together. And this time they not letting it go. I do love their gentle teasing and playful side. Especially Teagan. She is actually a very fierce single mother. I am glad they find their HEA at the end.
