What can I say, but Amy Daw’s books make me happy. I am done with Dominate. I’m so glad that I took the time to read this series that I’ve wanted to read for a while. It’s everything I wished for and more. Does/will Freya get a book? We need more from her. Maybe she can meet the long lost Harris cousin. I’m here telling you that if you haven’t read this series that you need to get on it.

My eyes are blurry from reading for hours straight. I HAD to finish this book. Like I NEEDED to know what was going to happen. This book as the final Harris book was phenomenal. I couldn't ask for a better end to a series or the second half of a duet. Sloan, if you read my last review I couldn't stand her, well I love her now, and I love Gareth even more. This book had me sobbing my eyes out, and laughing all in the same chapter. It was simply wonderful and I wish everyone would read it. Told in dual pov.

Dominate was so good! I loved how it picked up straight after Surrender, and it brought me a tiny bit of peace.
The whole Harris family came together here, and there were some important changes in the overall dynamics both between the siblings, and between Gareth and Vaughn.

should have been one book

Should have been condensed into one book but was abruptly broken out into two. If it was only one book it would have been too long for a romance novel. I didn’t feel invested in the characters and I didn’t feel like the storyline deserved more than 250 pages

Yeah, you'll probably want to read this in the privacy of your own home. Plenty of tears shed throughout this book. I really can't say enough about the sweet sweet Gareth. He'll make you all gah gah. His faults aren't even faults. He has a heart of gold, at least where his loved ones are concerned. We get to know him in Surrender (Harris Brothers Book 4, and Book 1 of this duet,) and we learn of his demons, but in this book we get an even better picture of him. We get to see how far he's willing to go for someone he loves. Sloan gets stronger and more confidant the longer she's with him. Gareth and Sloan have a lot of up and downs in their relationship in this book, but it's not your typical up and downs. It's not fighting or infidelity or betrayal (or any of the usual suspects) that causes it. Once they decide they want to give themselves the go ahead to take things to the next level, they don't back down, but things happen that threaten what they are trying to build. There are some surprising twists. A few moments you'll want to strangle a character or two. Lots of tears fell. Some good and some sad. The children in the book are adorable, and often steal the show. Of course there are plenty of drool worthy scenes when we get to see the guys interacting with the wee ones. Ladies, be warned! ;) We all love those single dad romances right, well, this has the same kick even if it isn't a single dad we are dealing with. There is plenty of humor to help break up all the more solemn moments. And of course the sex is just as hot. (Mature readers kind.) It is so well written. You really get to know the characters. While it alternates between POVs, it really is Gareth who shines. Trust me, he will be your new book boyfriend. This quote for instance... "And I’m not the kind of man who jumps out of airplanes for a rush. I’m the kind of man who stands on the ground, waiting to catch you.” See, swoony, am I right?

This is book 5 in the series, but book 2 in Gareth's story, and you will need to read Surrender before Dominate. This book begins right where Surrender ends. This is also the final book in the Harris Brothers series, and has a good, heart warming conclusion to it that includes everyone. So if you haven't read the previous books, you may want to so you can truly appreciate the finale.
