Very good book. Exactly what I needed right now to help me sort out which parts of my difficult personality are something I need to work on and which parts are ones I need to dial up even more. Not saying I will ever get that balance perfect.

This is a useful book for pretty much everyone I think. I am agreeing with bell hooks on that which is usually a good indicator

Wow. Didn't realise how much I needed to read this!

The brick wall is something that I relate to a lot, on a personal level - Ahmed puts it into words well:

We can be shattered by what we come up against.
And then we come up against it again.
We can be exhausted by what we come up against.
And then we come up against it again.

It was so refreshing to see the perspectives in this book, and I felt particularly seen as a trans woman - Ahmed did a great job of balancing the different narratives of all the different types of women that exist.

Let's all be feminist killjoys.

Deeply thoughtful meditation on living a life committed to justice, especially in the setting of doing diversity work in universities
