The ending was neat but the last couple of chapters were the literal only part that I found to be gripping.

I wish I could give this a 3.5. I liked the book and it surprised me at the end, but I thought the ending was so untrue to the prior 300 pages I had read. I like when I can piece things together at the end and this didn't allow you to do that. I also thought there were a lot of unnecessary events that didn't support or enhance the storyline at all.

Great book, easy to follow the story, some good twists and turns along the way although somewhat predictable
Still an good read though and I’d recommend to others

every time someone asked me how this book was, i always told them that it was the most confusing read ever. not because the book was confusing, but because of my conflicting feelings while reading it. i ate this book up and couldn’t put it down. anytime i picked it up, my eyes were glued to it. i found the premise to be so interesting, and i couldn’t wait for the next chapter to know more. however, i think this book could’ve been a 5 star read if it was written by a different author. i really did not care for this author’s writing style and found it to sometimes be wattpad-y. the number one rule of writing is “show, don’t tell”, and i feel like there was a lot of telling rather than showing. i wished she was more descriptive and painted a picture of the scene rather than telling me outright what the characters felt and thought. almost every chapter started with “i’m” followed by whatever the character was doing in that moment. it just felt a little cheap sometimes. also the excessive use of questions drove me NUTS. it felt like every other page was covered in, “why would she say that? does she know love me? does she even care? should i just move on?”. used sparingly that’s fine but it was sooooo much. although the writing style wasn’t my fav, i still tore through this book and definitely recommend :))

For me, this book was such a disappointment. There was not one character in the book who was redeemable. All of them were terrible people doing terrible things. And the main characters, Adam and Sarah were worst of all. Especially Adam. I wanted to know the ending, which is the only reason I stuck through to the end. But even the end wasn't that surprising for me. All in all, just a disappointing thriller for me.

The book was good but it seemed to drag a bit. Interesting ending for sure.
