I remember being so mad about the traitor in this book… I still feel the anger all these years later.

Darker, definitely people being monsters.
And the puzzle is unfolding!
And there's heartbreak!
For the darkness of it, I'm giving a 5th or 6th grade rating. About the same as HP1 with the unicorn blood.

Certainly going to immediately download the next one!
Excellent adult behavior - great tween character development,
definite tears.
