This is a good example for teaching people not to judge a book by its cover. In short, I thought and still think after reading the book that it's a very boring cover. However, the plot was interesting enough to get me into reading it. It was a very strong book in this genre and it was also very fun!
There were some let me downs like the ending being a little bit jarring (didnt feel like a conclusion) or maybe I just wasnt ready for it to end. Great enemies to lovers in any case and I especially loved the chef elements of the mc delilah. I personally love cooking so her passion for it definitely kept me engaged as well.
All in all, I do recommend this book!

4/5 stars - this was interesting!
I loved the idea of enemies to lovers but they’re childhood friends - their whole journey and current situation is wild, and also intriguing?
I didn’t really understand the concept of him just accepting her being his personal chef in return for her sister stealing his dead mums £300,000 watch - I don’t really think that adds up? But when you realise it’s because he’s always loved her I guess it makes sense - he wanted her around again.
I just hate Sam, she’s such a selfish prick and I don’t understand why Delilah went above and beyond to consistently bail her idiot sister out when she’d never do the same for her.

This was a good read – I knew her sister pulled that prank at prom – I got a weird vibe from her.
