A definite page turner, but at times hard to read, and I'm not sure I enjoyed it all that much. It's three stars purely on the fact that it's a quick read, but I doubt I'll invest in the follow up novels in the series.

Having read Alex several times and anticipated the translation of the rest of the series I had a pretty good idea that I would love this novel. I hope to get my hands on the French copies and read them as well.
I was surprised at how suspenseful and gripping the storyline was seeing as how I knew the outcome of the case.

I'm giving this 3 stars because I think it is a well written, compelling crime novel. However I found it way too graphic and disturbing for my liking, and so I didn't really enjoy it
