The 5th book in the Corium University series and the conclusion to Delilah and Lucas’ story. I’ve been loving this whole series and I was looking forward to how Lucas and Delilah’s story was going to end. Honestly, I was hoping for a bit of a bang at the end. It was all still really good, great story line, spice, the same dark vibe but the ending just didn’t do it for me. I really loved their character growth alone and as a couple. They’ve come a long way. I really loved that Delilah didn’t give up on Lucas and that Lucas finally believed in himself, that he wasn’t all bad. I was happy that these last two books still included characters from the first three. I always loved Aspen and I was really happy to see her character was still sweet and caring and that Quinton was still overprotective of her. We got a glimpse of who the next book focuses on and im looking forward to what Hallman and Beck have to offer. While I enjoyed this book, Aspen and Q are probably my favorite for the series. This series is a definite recommend for all the dark mafia romance readers.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Idk the the two books just dragged on for me, the misunderstandings, her leaving and getting trapped after, the MMC had barely any character development like he never actually dealt with his issues and charlotte being alive, the whole series was just a whirlwind. And Ren becoming a bad guy is just????

I love being back in the Corium University world with Delilah and Lucas. Their HEA absolutely was worth every single piece of pain that these two went through. Bravo to the writers - I can not wait for Ren!

Reign of Freedom by C. Hallman and J.L. Beck is a dark enemy to lover's romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Marlaina Garrett and Liam DiCosimo. This is the fifth book in The Corium University series.

The relationship between Lucas and Deliliah was extremely messy and completely toxic. But I couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to dive into the spinoff Touch of Hate so I can get Ren and scarlet's story.

Marlaina and Liam did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance, enemies to lover's romance, forbidden romance, age gap romance or romantic suspense.

This book had me on the edge of my seat as this is the conclusion to Lucas and Delilah's story and it did not disappoint. It picks up from the omg ending where Delilah thought she could trust the one person she thought had loved her only to find out it was a lie. This story is filled with angst, danger, and some jaw dropping moments. These two damaged people are meant to fix each other. But will Lucas find her in time or will he even try to find her? All I know is he needs her just as much as she needs him. This is definitely a must read. I can't get enough of this series.

I loved the premise of these characters but there was zero payoff. I kept wanting Lucas to get super protective or for their age gap to be a bit more of taboo but NOTHING

Also…Lucas did some FUCKED up things and I just don’t think his redemption was good enough. I love an evil mm but Delilah really just made herself smaller and accepted the abuse from him… not the resolution I was hoping for. End was super anti-climatic.

The push and pull, hot and cold, love and angst in Reign of Freedom was so over the top and so very exciting to read.
Lucas and Delilah are struggling with their relationship and trying to find their footing. Lucas feels like he is not worth loving, irredeemable, and so so angry. Poor Delilah has never had the support of anyone in her life, neither family or friends, and would just love someone to care about her and love her.
This book was full of more shocking characters, people coming out of the woodwork when you least expected it, and it kept this reader glued to the pages.
I can’t wait for what happens next at Corium ❤️

Bully, dubcon, secret society, age gap, forbidden, student/principal, violence, enemies to lovers

This book picks up right where Ruins of Temptation left off. It definitely focuses a lot more on the relationship between Delilah and Lucas, which definitely takes us through a rollercoaster of emotions. There is so much that happens in this story then to add on the plot twist and betrayal that no one expects. The fun never stops at Corium. Reign Of Freedom is another incredible addition to this series. I can’t wait to read about Ren’s story
