Inspirational read and worth the purchase for the illustrations alone. I love these characters 💗

A fun read with great art. I hope this gets revised and expanded over the years as the Star Wars universe grows. I also noticed a few characters were missing, such as the Kaminoan Taun We. Oh well.

This a must-have book for Star Wars fan of any level! And if you’re a feminist, that’s even better, because the book was written by a woman, and all of the interior illustrations were made by female and non-binary artists! Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy is incredible, and is also beautiful inside and out. I’m a big fan of Rey, and absolutely love the art of her on the cover. I’m also a big fan of the colours and style of the cover illustration, as well as the illustrations made by various artists inside the book!

As the synopsis says, Leia Organa, Rey, Ahsoka Tano, Jyn Erso, Rose Tico, and Maz Kanata are featured in this book, along with many many more female characters from the Star Wars universe that I’d only ever seen images of, or not even heard of before. It’s really great to have a collection like this (especially in hardcover), and it was a lot of fun to read about all of these minor and major female characters from the universe. (Just beware of spoilers if you’re reading about a characters that’s from a movie, show, or book that you haven’t seen or read yet). Again, a must-must have for Star Wars fans!

I loved this overall but it could have been so much longer and meatier. That’s what I really wanted. I wanted 30 pages on Leia alone. Maybe more. Some of the entries could have been so much more. I get what the intent of this was though, and I am here for it.

Loved the art work and the descriptions of various female characters from Star Wars. If your contact with SW is only through the movies, this is a great way to find out about some of the spin off shows and comics and such.
