Jackal by Erin E. Adams
4.0
I wavered on what I was going to rate this book as I listened to it. It was uncomfortable in completely intentional and justifiable ways. And while I correctly guessed the whodunnit early on, twists and turns in the plot had me wondering if I was wrong. There were also aspects of the book that were so “meh” that a day after finishing it, I can’t remember what they were - just that they had me contemplating a 3 star rating. I’d settled on giving this a 3.5 star rating up until the very end. I really enjoyed the ending (past the point of the whodunnit reveal) and there are so many ways the ending can be dissected and discussed. I think this would make a really interesting book for a book group.
