Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker
Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
I have already bought into the idea that sleep is important, but I do like to hear new information about how it's protective for body, brain, and mental health. I did not, however, need to hear long discussions about how animals sleep--how some can turn off one half of their brain at a time or how birds shift positions on a wire so that the birds on the ends can protect the rest of sleeping flock. I felt like the author was getting far too much into the weeds on this subject for my taste.
