Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

3.0

Pride and prejudice is a really beautifully written book with very good and sweet characters with the perfect amount of romance and a little bit of comedy. I really loved how the story ended for all the characters and the marriages and how happy and settled the Bennet daugters finally were.

I gave this book 3 stars tho because

1. The English was just confusing af (English is my second language). I understand the fact that this book was written in the 1800's but like since the English was confusing it was also really hard for me to understand who was talking and what really was going on throughout the whole entire book.

2. There were just wayy too many characters for me to keep on track with. Since the book also calls the people by their last names it was really hard for me to understand who was who. Like one part of the book they'll call them by their last name and then another time they'll call them by their first name and I'll be like 'Who's that?'. And another time I just wouldn't understand how the relation between the characters are.

3. Way too long of paragraph. In my opinion, the paragraphs were just really long and went on for like 2 pages for 1 paragraph and I don't really prefer long paragraphs. The storyline was also really slow like within the first 200 pages nothing really happened until after that mark. It was also not really based on like one character's story but between all of them. Like the story between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy (idk his first name) took really long to progress and actually focus on that.
