These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

3.75

"The stars incline us, they do not bind us"

I read this book 2 years ago for the first time, but I was confused the whole time. Now that I've read it for a second time I can finally say that I've understood this. I really took the time to read this but also I took breaks when I needed them instead of going on with it even though I just wasn't in the mood or just didn't have the concentration.
I loved the way this was written. The way that we didn't only saw the lives of Juliette and Roma, but we also saw a bit of Mars, Ben and of course Kathleen (who literally wasn't even allowed to have an own name  I still want justice for her).
I hope that next we'll see more of Roma's personality.
This review is all over the place pls forgive me.

ps. I Love You I'm Sorry by Gracie Abrams fits them so well:
"I was a dick, it is what it is A habit to kick, the age-old curse"
"I stare at the crash, it actually works Making amends, this shit never ends I'm wrong again, wrong again"
