Shakespeare Was a Woman and Other Heresies: How Doubting the Bard Became the Biggest Taboo in Literature by Elizabeth Winkler

funny informative reflective medium-paced

4.25

The best way I can describe this book and its contents is a subline from the article Winkler wrote that inspired this book which is "The Mystery Behind the God of Iambic Thunder Is Part of the Thrill."
In a field that is overpowered with old white male literature professors this was a refreshing read, a mix of historians, actors, professors & more bring a fascinating approach to the authorship question. I find this question to be thrilling, and this book did not sway my mind in any one direction, but I had just like the best time of my life reading it.
