This was a genuinely thrilling mystery. All the characters felt very distinct and I didn't have any issues remembering who was who and how they were connected which is a problem I run into a lot when it comes to books with a large cast of characters. The build-up was very well done and the scene felt like a character of its own, Ware really manages to make the mountain come alive. I wasn't expecting there to be quite so much skiing but it wasn't something I've seen before, even though it did make some of the more intense scenes a bit comical. I also found the plot itself to be quite compelling, if a bit predictable.
