The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0
I am so late to the party on this one, but I am so happy I finally got to it! I really enjoyed the way this story was told and understand why so many people love it and TJR in general. She is masterful in her storytelling, and it is so easy to read. Along with the shorter chapters, her hints at the end twist made it so hard to put it down.
I did cry at the end learning everything we do and seeing how Evelyn lost so much in her life. My only issue with the book was that Evelyn, being of Latino decent, I felt like wasn't explored to its fullest capacity, especially in the sense she gave it all up for fame and power. But in all reality, she did it for her mother but never mentioned her really again. I would have enjoyed seeing her discuss and reflect more than just two brief mentions.
Though that didn't affect my 5⭐️ review! I was so happy to read this, so I finally knew what everyone was talking about.
