A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young
Did not finish book. Stopped at 52%.

I just don't care about any of these characters. The reader spends so much time in James's head, but because she's having to be elusive to keep the mystery going, you never get to know anybody enough to give a damn. 
DNF 58% in, skipping to the back for the ending.

Really don't want to read about another toxic, abusive love interest

Started fine. The first 40-50% were setting up a potentially spooky story, but then halfway in

is introduced and the plot falls off a cliff. Was bored and just wanted it over by the end.

Pick any other book by her instead of this one.

I've tried twice to read this book, but its so overly written its like slogging through literary mud. I just don't have the attention span for this.

Guillotine by Delilah S. Dawson
Did not finish book. Stopped at 58%.

DNF 2 stars.

Meh writing style, bland, flat, cookie-cutter characters, actions that drive plot requires suspension of disbelief to levels of utter silliness despite the graphic gore that accompanies them.
