Synopsis:

Lights out follows Aly an ER nurse who like many of us find ourselves double tapping, saving and even commenting on videos of gorgeous masked men in dark rooms making us feel all kinds of things we 'shouldn't'.

Aly's FYP is full of shirtless men wearing ghost masks, heavily tattooed, wielding a knife, or covered in fake blood. At night, she dreams about being chased by them, of them catching her and doing deliciously dark things to her more than willing body.

But one evening after a particularly shitty night in the ER Aly sends a drunken text that will make all of her dark desires a reality.

Will Aly still want these dark and depraved things when they are thrust upon her or will it all be too much to take?

Review:
I have been wanting to read this book for so long and it did not disappoint, the characters were incredible, I love that there was so much in each character's life that built up to where they are now and the psychology behind it all.

The plot was not predictable which is such a big thing for me. I enjoyed every moment of it.

The spice was hot af! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I would recommend this to anyone who wouldn't mind a hot masked man waiting for them in bed ๐Ÿ˜… this book wasn't the darkest of dark romance so definitely a great book to start with if you're getting into the genre.

This story follows Savanna who is fleeing from her past, leaving Colorado and relocating to the beautiful Santa Rosรฉ- California, and Nate a part time bar co-owner and Fire lieutenant.

Savanna's life is burning Infront of her eyes whilst trying to heal from her last relationship and Nate is in over his head with he bar him and his sister inherited from their Uncle Sam six months ago, that is until their worlds collide.

Nate makes Savanna an offer she would be a fool to refuse but her choices are slim, either let his complete stranger help her or run back to Colorado with the possibility of putting people in danger.

Protecting the people she cares about is her top priority, but the more time Savanna spends around Nate the harder that becomes, she can feel her past catching up to her and now there are more people that could be caught in the crossfire.

I truly loved reading Living With Fire, I was so caught up in the characters that I felt like I truly knew them. Each character had so much depth that I could read whole book about any of themโ˜บ๏ธ

The plot was incredible, it unfolded in time and nothing felt rushed, the slow burn was captivating and also didn't feel like it was in your face constantly. I love an in your face smutty book but I was so glad when reading this that there was an incredible amount of substance in the story to accompany the spice.

I couldn't get enough of the chemistry  between all of the characters, the flow of their relationships was perfect and they truly felt like a family.

I'd 100% reccomended this to anyone who loves romance or just sexy firefighters ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ

This story follows Hannah a songwriter and Rory a country music star who is 14 years her senior and happens to be connected to a huge part of Hannah's past

Rory has given Hannah the opportunity to pack up her life in Tennessee and songwrite with him on the beautiful Island of St Croix. ๐ŸŒด

Hannah starts a scary and beautiful journey meeting a bunch of incredible people along the way, the banter and chemistry between them is beautiful, truly a family away from home who have her back through the rollercoaster that is her life after arriving on the Island.

This book was incredible, I am usually a dark romance or Romantacy reader, so I have never read a Songwriter X Singer romance before and I am pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it.

The story was beautiful, I truly felt the ebs and flows of the relationships between the characters, good or bad.

There were points where I had to take a breath while some of the really emotional things were happening, it felt like I was there with them experiencing these emotions.

I really enjoyed K.L Shannon's writing, there was a great level of 'action' VS story building. The 'Spice' was great and the build up and sexual tension was phenomenal ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
( I loved the play on words with Dicktionary, it definitely made me snort laugh as if I was raised by pigs ๐Ÿ–)

I do wish that the POV's were split chapter to chapter but that's the only thing I would change as I can find it difficult to differentiate between perspectives.
