Super cute story. Anna loves all the Winnie the Pooh books.

Well, I enjoy informational books and I remember loving the Encyclopedia Brown books, so I picked this up at the Goodwill store when I was last there thinking my future son might enjoy it.

I read it earlier (a break in the world of Pern [b:The Renegades of Pern|20082|The Renegades of Pern|Anne McCaffrey|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1283622741s/20082.jpg|555]) and had a little fun. I even busted out laughing so hard I almost dropped the book when I reached this:

"When a passenger of foot heave in sight, tootle the horn. Trumpet at him melodiously first, but if he still obstacles your passage, then tootle him with vigor."

Aaaahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Tootle him with vigor! Still laughing!

This book is essentially a small collection of interesting stories about cars with a mini Encyclopedia Brown story at the beginning of the book. As always, he solves the mystery with his trivia knowledge. :-p

Cute book. I'm sure Anna and I will be rereading this one when she gets a little older and I can get her to sit still for longer books with fewer pictures. :-)

Picked this up for my niece (2.5 years) because she begged and it was only $3. (Besides, I don't usually say no to books.) She loved it and wasn't too happy that it was a "stay at Aunt Lishy's house" book. She wouldn't let me read it to her. She read it to me, read it to the cats, and then told me, "It's a good book, Aunt Lishy, you read it." :-)

I've read this before, so when I noticed it still on my to-read shelf I was a little confused. So, just to make sure it was read this year, I read through it again.

I giggled in all the right places, but noticed that on reread it doesn't hold up. :-( I like it better the first time.
