I'm not even gonna hold anyone, I love SJM's books. They're not great, they're not well written, the world building and magic system are basically non existent, but they're fun and easy to read.

One of the issues that I had with this book that I didn't even notice when I read it on release, is that Maas explains everything, like girl, I'm not dumb, I understand what's happening without you spelling it out to the letter.

Another problem that I had is how can you have a massive war, that they almost lost, but no one dies? Like come on if you're going to put war in yout story everyone can't make it out of the finale alive. Also, this is the secone war that the "Inner Circle" fought and they all made it out alive both times?

Other than that the book is what I expect from a fantasy romance, I enjoy them and i'll keep reading SJM.

Okay, so this book was slow, it took about 200 pages for the plot to move at all. The characters were also annoying, and I guessed the twist pretty early on. With that being said, it was fun and even though the pacing was slow, the writing style was so simplistic that it was an easy read. I like Jeneva Rose's books and will continue to read them because they're what I call popcorn books, they're super easy to read, kind of messy, but  easily digestible, she's becoming my go to author when I need a break.

This short story collection is brilliant and painful. I almost didn't pick this one up because I don't like and never read short stories, but I'm glad I did. Oliver writes sharp and hard-hitting stories with a somehow gentle touch. I'm only sorry that she left us so early, may she Rest in Paradise.

5/5 stars

This is a perfect book in my opinion, it's visceral, repulsive, and very well written. I will be reading more from this author.

Surprisingly, this has been overall a three star series for me.

This is literally just a Christmas special, I don't feel strongly one way or the other about it.

Uhm... this was good.

I kind of don't understand why people who enjoyed Powerless are reviewing this poorly, it's more of the same. The romance was good, the banter was good, there are several big set pieces, and it was equally as questionably written.

The main criticisms that I have are that there was no plot, this was a character and vibe bookand that's okay as far as i'm concerned. There were some gramatical errors, and I'll never be able to forget that the author put Paedyn and Kai into situations where it's impossible for them to manuver the way they do while chained together.

The ending of the book was good, but I predicted the twist, I like the cliffhanger and will be eagerly anticipating the concluding novel

I'm not gonna lie, this novella felt unecessary. I thought it would make me cry the way everyone is TikTok did, but it was just okay. I liked getting to know Adena more, and I love that she's a soft girl, the story just unfortunately didn't do for me what it did for others.

Have you ever read a book that you didn't enjoy reading, but you know that it changed you forever? This is a first time occourance for me, and I didn't even know it was possible. It took me three days to read this 100 page book, it was hard to get through, I hated everything about it, but was profoundly moved by the messaging behing the story and characters actions. I will be reading more of Camus' work in the future.

I've always thought I didn't like romance, or that I had to read it sparringly,  but this book made me realize that I do like romance, it's the explicit sex that I don't really care for. Interestingly enough, I don't mond explicit sex in fantasy romance/romantasy books.

Either way, this book was fantastic. The characters are all grounded and realistic, the antagonistic characters weren't cartoonish villanins. It did seem to drag a little in the middle, but that doens't change the enjoyment of the story at all. I've always wanted to get into romance, and I think Abby's stiyle is it for me.
