Really enjoyed reading this book, was different to the usual books that I read.
I have to admit, the changes between decades did throw me a little, but once I got into it I didn’t mind.
Very well written, funny and addictive. I didn’t want to put it down at some points.
Would recommend.
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

All I can really say about this book is it really took me by surprise!
I had read a lot of hype about Daisy Jones and the Six and it really did live up to they hype.
The interview style writing really does drag you in and keeps you engaged and the small twist at the end (not massive but was a little unexpected), all just worked.
It really does transport you back to that era and you really can feel the atmosphere of the time.
If you only read a couple of books this year, make sure this is one of them!
Jog On: How Running Saved My Life by Bella Mackie

I really did engage with Bella’s story, having to deal with my own mental health on a daily basis and also using running as a coping mechanism. However, sadly her story got diluted so much by referencing and research I found myself getting a bit impatient and lost. I wholeheartedly loved the parts where Bella was sharing her experiences, techniques and life and if this book had just been that with a few other people’s stories, without all of the research facts and referencing (which has to come with those facts), it would have been a hands down 5 stars.
A Sucky Love Story: Overcoming Unhappily Ever After by Brittani Louise Taylor

I read this entire book in one sitting.
Brittani’s story really did drag me in and had me in total shock regarding what she has been through. After watching her YouTube channel for years and seeing all of this unfold, I was totally shocked with everything that went on and found that I needed to know everything all at once. I would recommend this book.
Watching You by Lisa Jewell

I started this book not really knowing what to expect.
The chapters are short, which I find makes the reading go a lot faster and you can find yourself getting lost in the book quite quickly. This is the first Lisa Jewell book I have read and I have to say, I will be reading all of her other books now! It was a joy and an effortless read and the twist was brilliant.
This is going on the list as one of my favourite books of 2019.

This book took me by surprise and I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting too much. However, Leo Stanhope as a character really grew on me as the book went on and went to show his struggle with identity and how the world saw him. This historical thriller really did keep me engaged and made me think a lot about who could have killed Maria! There were a few parts of the story that were quite far fetched however, it is fiction at the end of the day. I am looking forward to seeing more of the character Leo Stanhope in the future.

I really did enjoy this book. As a YA I didn’t think that it would go as deep as it did. But, I was not disappointed. It was such a joy to read and I couldn’t put it down. I was curious from the first chapter. This book has really opened my eyes to YA fiction and I will defiantly read more from the YA range in the future.
