Regardless of how problematic the author is and that it can be boring,
it's truly a classic and a comfort to me when I was going through things.
Its something for everyone :)
The concept more them makes up for the meh bits.
Not for the cruel remarks by the Author though.

The fault in our stars is the one John Green book I've actually been able to finish.
However, though there are some serious things, the corny quotes really degrade the serious situations that some people in real life suffer from like the main characters do. It's almost an insult.

It's cringy yet I enjoyed reading it, until the end, when I was mad and also just kind of sick and tired of the book. It tried to be relevant but it became cheesy and pretentious.
However, the ending is sad, almost heartbreaking.
I feel like this is a guilty read for me because though it was corny and at times annoying, I didn't mark it as a DNF and I kept going, till the very end.
It's enjoyable and heartbreaking and cheesy at some points.

Honestly, after having to watch Hank Green videos in school,
I keep thinking of him while writing this review.

So I know it's not the best-written book ever, and it's middle grade.
But I love it. It's an easy to read book which started the trend of retelling greek myths, it's not terribly long nor terribly short, it's fast-paced and by the end, you're out of breath.
I love how Riordan created the concept of there being a mortal world.
I loved Camp Half-Blood and wished it was real, I took the official test and I am a daughter of Athena, just like Annabeth, who is in fact, a great role model.

Disappointing and weak book, particularly for this series.
The book did not make me care about anything, I was bored while reading it and the title is misleading. The labyrinth barely appears.

Skipped to the end after page 20.
Still counting it as a challenge book since I read the last 2 pages.
This book fell short because, from the very first page, it bores you. I expected it to be complex, it was simple but simple fantasy stories can be good, this one wasn't. The worldbuilding was next to none and I cared not a bit about any of the characters. I was disappointed because I was expecting a bada** main female lead. The author needs to follow every english teacher's advice and "show not tell"
We are told that the main character is special, yeah yeah we get it but where's the proof.
We are told not shown and I feel like the English teachers of the world right now are face palming or shaking their heads in dismay
