Was a 4 star read for me but I’m taking back a star for the last 3 chapters, 28/29&30 were so unnecessary and really made me feel like the author was just writing to get a page count. It’s not just my dislike for this trope but it felt very cringy and completely set the FMC’s character development back to the very beginning of the book. Honestly read through chapter 27 then flip to the epilogue.

I loved Luckiest Girl Alive and was hoping I would fall in love with this book, but it fell extremely flat for me. The Ted  Bundy concept is so over done and honestly so irrelevant. Nothing in the book felt original or compelled me to read on. I had to force myself to get through this initially thinking oh maybe it’s a reading slump… nope it’s just not that good.

I felt like it was missing the magic of Cade and Marigold. The enemies to lovers felt too forced in the beginning and almost too cliché. I found Pippa to be downright annoying, but maybe my hatred for Pippa the pig (my niece watches it religiously) was causing me to be bias.  There were parts that picked up, and the spice was good but I didn’t fall in love with Camden or Pippa.

Pretty good story, the beginning starts with interesting hook but for me it quickly became predictable; not necessarily a bad thing, but I didn’t fall in love with it either.

If the I heard pregnant pause one more effing time I was going to throw my phone. How did no one seem to notice the absurd amount of times “pregnant pause” was used. Other than that the book was okay, the writing was smooth but the characters fell flat for me.

Liked the dual timelines and the California vibes, well written and interesting enough but I found it a bit predictable towards the end.

My favorite out of the three books. Suit daddy was everything I hoped he would be but damn this book was long.

Not my favorite in the series, I really had no interest in Grae from book 1 and that still stands true after reading her book. I really didn’t enjoy her character in the other books and maybe my loathing of her seeped into my views of her book. Now don’t get me wrong, this still had all the same CC magic we’ve come to expect. I just really don’t like Grae.

*I wasn’t initially planning on reading this; I was going to skip straight to Roan’s story but decided for the context I would*

Wow I’m so sad I didn’t like this book. I feel like it’s been way over hyped, this felt like the worlds longest slow burn. Adalyn and Cam were cute but I didn’t feel the connection between them or a connection to them. Wasn’t a hit for me.
