“Just because something is dangerous under certain circumstances doesn’t mean it can’t be gentle when handled with care”

Ecco and Graeme are just as cute and adorable as Mariah and Thorak in book 1 but also so different. I loved that we got a peek into Mariah’s life since book 1 ended, the best thing about interconnected standalone.

Ecco is now a famous siren pop star and she has a stalker and her manager insists on hiring a bodyguard and soon we are introduced to the big grumpy gargoyle bodyguard with a heart of stone. They are complete opposites

I loved that we got to be back in ELderberry Falls. And boy do things heat up in Elderberry Falls for Ecco and Graeme.

What will happen when you have a man that is all business, no pleasure hired to protect a woman who is free-spirited nature that seems to be getting under his stone-cold skin?

I don’t wanna give too much away so if you love cozy fantasy, monster romance grumpy x sunshine, bodyguard romance and some opposites attract this book is for you.

“Just your friendly neighborhood coffee-shop owner, ready with a smile and your favorite drink.”

Read this in a day and half. I kept seeing this all over Booktok and Bookstagram so I added it to my fall/cozy September TBR. And because who doesn’t love pumpkin spice?

This was a mix of a Hallmark movie and Gilmore Girls but a little spicy wrapped up in a book and I truly enjoyed it. I mean who doesn’t love a small town cafe owner and a hot farmer? I know I do. This gave me so many fall vibes, cute banter, and a good amount of spice.

Oh and Jeanie doesn’t like Twizzlers… but so glad our sexy farmer Logan does. LOL

This without the author saying which chapter was which MC’s I liked still having it where we had Jeanie and Logan’s POV.

I will be reading book 2 in this series as well.

“Reading is the only thing that allows me a reprieve from the chaos of existence.”

Are you looking for a cozy little paranormal mystery read that has some spice to it? Well I got just the book for you. It’s a novella so it is short and sweet but definitely has some a little spice

This was a freaking cute, cozy little paranormal mystery romance novella that I literally read in one sitting. It has a strong witch FMC, a broody werewolf, delectable banter, and some spice.

I truly loved the enemies to lovers feels between Enoki and Rex, I loved how grumpy and sarcastic the white German Shepherd Amity, Enoki’s familiar was, and I loved how bubbly and youthful Anita, Rex’s little sitter was. And can’t forget I really enjoyed the vampire forensic investigator Cal who rolls into town.

PS, I love the name Enoki

The title Witchfished is Perfect (IFYKYK) I got giddy when I understood the title of this novella and it made me swoon and fall more in love with this book.

I loved the romantic tension, the banter, and the idea behind the storyline. My only complaint would be that I wish it was a full-length novel.

“You can’t grow without leaving behind what is comfortable”

The author has such a beautiful writing style. This book is a dual POV, sharing the story of Aisling and Kael, but primarily told from the POV of Aisling.

Aisling is human, yet she finds herself in a prominent role in a Fae prophecy and is stuck in the middle of a Fae war that has been going on for a long time. I loved reading about Aisling discovering herself and growing into her role in a world she had written off as a fairytale. Kael, is the king of the Unseelie Court who was blessed with the curse of barely being able to control his shadow power. (I love a book when the MMC has shadow power. It brings me to the knees)

I enjoyed the world-building of the three worlds and the comparison of the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. I loved the duality of the two courts, each having their darkness and light.

I truly enjoyed the intimacy of the relationship between Aisling and Kael.

That ending… I can’t wait for book 2. I NEED to know what happens next.

“And the sensations he evoked inside of me… well, I'd say it was about the closest I’ve ever gotten to wielding magic myself.”

This was such a cute, enemies to lovers,  cozy monster romance! I ate this book up! Elderberry Falls is a special land filled with magic, monsters, and humans. I wish Elderberry Falls was real cause I wanna live here.

This follows Mariah as she has some deep wounds from the past from her high school bully, Thorak. Issues arise at Mariah’s Moonflower Inn while Thorak has the desire to spread his ales to the human lands which results in an adorable fake engagement…

There was so much to this book than just spice. I don’t wanna give too much away. You will just have to read it to find out how the story goes. I may or may not wish a Orc like Thorak was real

Cora Crane created the best cozy, enchanting world in Elderberry Falls.

I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone looking for a sweet monster romance with some spice. I can’t wait for book 2 The Gargoyle and the Songbird which follows Mariah’s friend Ecco the Siren

Sugar by Zoe Shae

WOW! So this is Zoe Shae’s debut book and this was such a good read. I first found Zoe from signing up to ARC read her newest book ‘Spell Ya Later’ that just came out and when I saw she had another book I HAD to read it. Okay back to Sugar review…lol

So let me start by saying I love an Age Gap romance. I am a sucker for it because my husband and I are 13 years apart.

Darby is an amazingly easy character to relate to as a 20-something who is just trying to get by after years of emotional abuse and insecurities. Which I can very much relate to.

Ben is the swoon-worthy billionaire, every romance girl hopes to run into at a Starbucks.

Darby and Ben have instant chemistry that is electrifying and absolutely delicious. He is a workaholic CEO who has no time to date, but he cannot resist the hot mess that is Darby.

Now I will say there is a miscommunication trope in this and I am not a fan of this trope and YES I screamed “JUST TALK TO HIM” a few times but she wrote so well. And from my personal experiences of emotional abuse and insecurities I understand how hard it is to talk to open up to someone when you have never had someone to truly listen to. Sorry didn’t mean to ramble but I feel the miscommunication trope in this book fits the character and what she went through

Zoe Shae this book was amazing and I absolutely love your writing style. I am one of your BIGGEST fans and I will be one of your FOREVER readers.

“You’ve made me feel loved and seen in a way no one else has ever had”

This book set the mood for the fall/cozy vibes. This was the perfect book to get in the fall mood. It gave me all the cozy, witchy vibes I was hoping for, along with a great balance of romance, personal growth, and some heart-tugging family drama. I am so glad I picked this book to be my first read of September

This was my first book by Zoe Shae and let me tell you I was hooked right from the start.

The romance in this book… without giving anything away, had me giggling, kicking my feet. Hazel and Noah’s  relationship is so sweet. Their chemistry felt so real and healing – both of them fit together so well, mending each other’s brokenness in a way that was beautiful and I felt for them.

Beyond the romance, Hazel’s journey of her struggles with self-identity, family issues,  and personal growth made her so relatable (even though she is a witch) I felt like I could personally connect with her. She reminds me of myself… well not the witch part lol. I would totally love to be friends with Hazel.

So if you are looking for a feel-good fall read with a little bit of magic, romance and self discovery. Then add Spell Ya Later to your fall TBR today.

Thank you so much Zoe for allowing me to ARC read this book. I can't wait to read more of The Pruitt Witches series.
