I kept thinking about it whenever I'd watch any other media or do anything else. The kind of virus I never want to get rid of

As a great House of Leaves fan, I enjoyed the suspense that this book had over the mysteries this place the characters are staying in brought and the way their perspectives were altered by this very place, and of course, the thing in the snow. I felt like so much could have been done, but the whole book fell flat just as I thought things were gonna get really interesting, the book was cut short by a discouraging end. Could be great for a sequel, or perhaps we are supposed to left forever pondering on everything that happened. Anywho... I was really enjoying this book, but the last bit of it left much to be desired for me. Super quick read, though, so check it out nonetheless.

The time travel and "body-switching" elements of the story could be a bit confusing at times, but if you can get past this, it doesn't heavily impact the enjoyment and overall understanding of the events in the book. I actually really enjoyed this book flipping page after page from the investment and suspense, however like a lot of people mention, the ending was a bit lackluster and even slightly disappointing; Nonetheless, a good read if you like mystery.

I am too lazy to write a proper review of this book, plus its been out for over 20 years that I feel it really doesn't need one. Anyway I love everything about this book, EXCEPT for the unnecessary sex scenes and mentions which at first I could ignore but later became just plain annoying and even a little disgusting, but I could get past this since I seriously loved everything else about the book. But seriously, someone could edit them all out and it wouldn't make an ounce of difference. Aside all that, this book quickly became one of my favorites and I love how challenging and weird it is. Definitely not for people looking for something lighthearted to read in a couple of days, it can get VERY heavy and tense and I actually got very weird dreams and sometimes even nightmares during my time of reading it. However, don't let this deter you from the haunting treat that it is.
PS. Johnny gets on my fricking nerves though and quite frankly he was so unlikeable I wasn't rooting for him at all even when he was on the brink of just ending it all.
