I wasn’t sure about Euphoria at first and almost put it down, but I’m so glad I didn’t. What started as a slow burn quickly became a fascinating and immersive read, with the pacing picking up in a way that made it hard to put down for the last 3/4 of the book. The characters are richly layered and compelling on their own, but when brought together, their dynamics become even more entertaining and meaningful. Almost every relationship in the novel is intellectually and emotionally charged, and I loved the depth and tension they added to an already captivating story. I don’t think I’ve ever read a novel about anthropologists before, but this one has made me eager to seek out more because dang, the topic is fascinating, as are the things they get up to!
