exploring two different threads of fate while alternating between chapters was such a nice experience, specifically as someone who believes in fate and soulmates deeply. when i read the back cover, i was totally not expecting this— it was even better.
Hannah and Gabby's friendship could be the best friendship i've ever read. every conversation between them made me feel even more closer to them, they are the best thing in this book! Ethan and Henry both were great characters i enjoyed reading about (though can't lie about the fact that i have a favorite).

Reid never disappoints.

whenever i read/listen a Ashley Poston book (this is the second time), i start with an uneasy feeling of not being sure if this plot is what i need from a romcom book— yet it's always what i need! i had fun listening to it once again and didn't see the plot-twist coming at all!!! i really liked the characters and the soft feeling it gave me at the end. definitely read more books from her!

fake-dating? a big yes!!!

i really liked Daphne -not only because her name is so beautiful- but also, i really *really* loved Miles -not only because he has a beard (I LOVE YOU EMILY!!!!!! YOU ARE SO REAL FOR THIS!!!!!!!)-.
there's nothing i hate or even dislike about their characters. what i liked about them the most is the fact that they know themselves so well. they do not whine around without not knowing what to do. they exactly know their own flaws and act towards that. i love reasonable adults that can have fun and healthy conversations at the same time!!
and side character were as sweet as the main ones, can't even decide if i like Ashleigh or Jules more.

having books that gives me the sweet feeling of not wanting it to end yet wanting to read as quickly as i can just so i can catch up with them feels like a privilege. it might not be my most favorite Henry book but i still felt that feeling. i think this alone is a reason enough for it to get 5/5.

even though i couldn't completely get into the book until i'm halfway done with it, the whole book was written nicely and i really liked that everything that was written was written for a reason.

but the thing that affected me deeply was the relationship and feelings between Sam and Sadie. Pioneers could be the turning point of the book to me. also the ending line— such a beautiful surprise.

very interesting, maybe even a little weird but in a very good way. she, as a lonely vampire, tried to be a human as much as she can between humans and i'm proud of her for trying.

i really enjoyed listening to it. i love vampires!!!
