The Wrong Bride by Catharina Maura
Did not finish book.

My reason for dnfing is so petty the main couple gets cockblocked THREE SEPARATE times (yes I counted) and there’s nothing wrong those scenes but it just kept happening and happening to them omg 😭😭😭

And the second they actually do get down and nasty he rips a hole in her leggings / yoga pants this could be hot in other books but by this point I was so done 

HOWEVER I did like the crumbs of that bodyguard ceo and his wife (this never goes well for me wish me luck) and I will definitely back for sierras book so two more strikes and she’s out 🏟️

I would complain about the plot if there was any 

I also got the ick with how much the mmc liked her roommate and wanted to bang her and then do a sudden 180 and get possessive over Jade bc he realized she was hot too 

Also not to out myself as stupid but what is the point of the trade I know it’s to bang and get dudebro points or whatever but this entire time I just got cuck vibes

Oh man, I had high hopes like REALLY HIGH 

these two served two of my favorite tropes of all time, rivals (specifically academic) and fwb (or in their case rwb) 

And it gave me nothing :/ 

the breaking point for me was when he fingered her under the table with her SISTER across from her so uncouth and unclassy goodbye

Oh man, it hurts me to rank it so low

It was missing something , probably bc of the fact there’s no proper buildup why she had to leave until around the end :/ 

But this author does a good job doing fluffy scenes and these two did serve it, especially during the past chapters when they were falling in love

also that ghost face scene was hot ngl

Guilty pleasure tbh

The slow burn of rory and angelo was so good, him pulling the pearl necklace out had me shaking crying and throwing up 

 BUT I hate how he slutshamed her it was unnecessary especially with her trauma (even though he did not have knowledge about it) and it’s obvious that Rory did NOOTTTT like that old man but ok :( this was a mafia book so idk why im surprised 

I also  wish Rory was more badass like she declares but I do think she does have more of a backbone than people give her credit for (at least with other side characters)
