It wasn’t what I was expecting honestly. The banter was immature and didn’t do anything to build the tension these characters are supposed to have between one another. Aiden’s POV was starting to get on my nerves

This book was a lot. I started this book knowing nothing other than it was an age gap romance. I dove into it not reading the summary or a single review and I definitely wouldn’t have picked this one up if I had. To start, the main character is 17 and the book insinuates she fell in love with her godfather at 7 … I’m sorry what?? My next issue was there was just so many inconsistencies. The character has severe agoraphobia but is fine to go to illegal clubs, concerts, parties all in the vein of making another guy jealous or trying to explore a connection with a guy. Nearly every character with more than two lines had a POV in this book which was annoying and it felt lazy. It didn’t feel like there was an effort made to actually move the plot along in any meaningful way and towards the end the plot disappeared and everything became a chaotic soap opera in the worst way possible. Even if the ending was a set up for the next book, I could not imagine going through that again lol
